In September 2025, hosted by Ayuntamiento de Alzira, we held the International Online Workshop on the inclusion of LGBTQI+ migrants and refugees. Participants from across Europe shared insights and co-created strategies for more inclusive local policies, exploring tools like the Safe Space Checklist for LGBTIQ+ Refugee Inclusion developed by ORAM, and discussing intersectional approaches, the need for empathy, as well as the important role of local trainers.
